The following is the standard procedure for following up on reports of an issue with Alexa not working in a room.  This should be used once you review the Monthly error report.
Please follow the testing procedures and report back finding in the sheet.
TESTING: Once in the room, unplug and replug Alexa, and wait for reboot.
The blue ring will stop spinning to indicate it is ready.
Please ask the following 4 questions:
  1. Alexa, what time is it. (she should give the time & this confirms she is connected to wifi/internet)
  2. Alexa, what room are you in. (She should give you the correct room number if not please see below and report it in the sheet).
  3. Alexa, turn on the lights.
  4. Alexa, turn off the lights. *
    * If any of the questions don’t work, insert “ask the hotel”, such that it’s “Alexa, Ask the hotel to turn the lights off”.
If they all operate as expected, please just write “working OK” in status
If any aren’t working right, please note what happened in the status field.
ALEXA IN WRONG ROOM?: If Alexa gives you the wrong room #, please enter the VLR# (white label on the bottom – see photo) or if that is missing, write down the full serial number on the black label.
